    Cookie Policy

    Last updated: April 5, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Wisdomwave Hub Ltd ("we," "us"), trading as Wisdomwave Hub, operating from Scotland, United Kingdom, uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on our websites and web apps (together, the "Platform"). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

    1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a web server. Local storage and session storage are browser features that store data on your device, often used by single-page applications for sessions and preferences. Together we refer to them as "technologies" where the legal rules are similar.

    2. How we use technologies today

Our application is built with React and Supabase. Authentication tokens for logged-in users are persisted in browser local storage (keys typically prefixed with sb-). That keeps you signed in across tabs. This is strictly necessary for account functionality in the current architecture.

We also use local storage for limited operational purposes, for example:

    • Display currency preference (wisdomwavehub_preferred_currency) — mirrors your choice for formatting prices; may sync to your profile when you are logged in.
    • Dashboard view preference for users who are both mentor and learner (wisdomwavehub_dashboard_view).
    • Cookie / storage consent record (wisdomwavehub_cookie_consent_v1) — stores your choices from our consent banner so we do not ask on every visit.
    • Occasional flow state (e.g. email verification or role redirects) in sessionStorage or local storage for the duration of a task.

    3. Third-party technologies

    3.1 Stripe (payments)

When you pay or complete Stripe Connect onboarding, Stripe may set cookies or use storage on Stripe's own domains for fraud prevention, session continuity, and compliance. We do not control those technologies; see Stripe's cookie policy.

    3.2 Google (sign-in and calendar)

If you use Google authentication or connect Google Calendar, Google may set cookies and process data under your Google account and their policies.

    3.3 Fonts

We may load fonts from Google Fonts (stylesheet from Google's servers). Google may receive technical data such as IP address as part of that request. We keep font usage minimal; you can block third-party requests in your browser if you prefer.

    3.4 Optional analytics (Plausible)

If we configure Plausible Analytics (a privacy-oriented, aggregate traffic tool without advertising cookies), the script loads from Plausible's domain only after you opt in to optional analytics in our banner. If you reject optional analytics, that script is not injected. You can change your mind anytime via Cookie settings in the footer.

    4. Service worker and push

If you enable web push notifications, a service worker may cache assets and receive push payloads. That is optional and separate from the default cookie banner; push permission is requested only when you turn notifications on in the product.

    5. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

    • Strictly necessary technologies — legitimate interests and/or performance of a contract (providing the service you asked for), and consent where some regulators require it for non-essential storage — we align the banner with EDPB-style practice for optional analytics.
    • Optional analytics — consent where required; you can refuse and still use core features.

    6. How long data stays on your device

Session tokens follow Supabase and your login duration (including "remember me" behaviour). Consent records are kept for up to 12 months or until you clear them. You can clear site data anytime via browser settings; clearing storage will sign you out and reset preferences stored only locally.

    7. Browser controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking all storage may prevent sign-in or payments. Consult your browser's help pages for instructions.

    8. Do Not Track

There is no consistent industry response to DNT signals. We rely on our consent banner and your browser settings for optional processing.

    9. Updates

We will update this policy when our technologies or legal obligations change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision.
